This site was the vision of Milestone Technologies Inc. and it has been beautifully implemented by Mike Lewis of Pagemarket.com. MTI searched long and hard to find just the right designer to implement our vision for what a web site should be. Based on the results, we hope you agree that we made an excellent choice. Pagemarket did an excellent job for us and we would certainly recommend their website design services.

This site takes advantage of the Lake Applet, by David Griffith.The applet was modified to slow down the wave speed to give the appearance of a larger body of water than the default settings present. Check out his site for additional cool scripts and effects. The sunset photograph entitled Any Time was taken by Mike Lewis and is of the the Gulf Stream around Florida.

In addtion, these tools were also used to create this site. Our counter is from The Counter and the menu was created using a registered version of 1 Cool Button Tool.

This site uses frames, which means the forward and back buttons will work as you expect them to, but pressing the "Reload" button will always cause the home page to reload.

The goal was to create a clean, attractive, and functional site with a minimum of download times. It was also important to give the user a sense that the site was immediately responsive to the user's needs and mouse movements. By rolling your mouse over the menu selections on the left, the submenu options appear in the blue horizontal bar across the top of the page. Even after selecting a menu choice, this bar is active so that you can quickly scan the submenu topics of each menu selection regardless of where you are in the site. This way, you are never more than one mouse click and one menu selection away from any document on the website. The current menu selection appears as a raised button so that you always know where you are. The text based navigation bar at the top of the document frame will quickly take you to the desired section within the document.
